Remote Pilot Authorization Certificate (RPA

This is a hobby certificate limited to category A (Low Risk) operations. The holder of this certificate can only fly his drone as a hobby ie where no financial gain is realized. No commercial operation shall be conducted with this certificate. It is suitable for persons who are aged at least 12 and above. An RPA Certificate is issued by KCAA upon completion.

What’s covered.
The ground school shall touch on the basics of what is covered under the Remote Pilot License, focusing mainly on Airlaw, Operational Procedures and UAS Technical Knowledge. The learner shall then undergo practical training and obtain at least 3 hours of flight. Upon successful completion, the certificate shall be awarded.
